Jeweler Websites
|
Just because we call it a "Packaged Service" does not mean it is a 100% template web site. It is actually quite the contrary. We've created packages of services based around what we know you will need as a retail jewelry store.
Our packages include product education information, ideas for how to represent your services online, tie-ins to several jewelry manufacturers and many other ideas that will help establish your web site's popularity in your community.
When we say "Package" we are not referring to the actual design of your web site. The design is something you will work out with our web site designer, and it is usually some based around the actual look of your store. We do have precreated design templates, but they are only a starting point for the look of your web site.
For members of The Independent Jewelers Organization, we have some specific web tie-ins that you can't get anywhere else. You can find explanations of these on the IJO Member Services page.

- An online catalog of jewelry items to give visitors an idea of what you carry in your store.
- Tie-ins to pre-established designer line pages that have been authorized by the designers.

This is our current portfolio of a few of the web sites we've worked on. Our design templates provide a starting point from where you can get ideas of what your web site could look like.

Once your web site is created you will need a place to host it. As an analogy, if you consider your web site to be furniture, you then need an apartment to live in. Paying for monthly hosting is like paying for monthly rent. We host almost all the web sites we create.

Jewelry POS Integration
Psi Prime was continually developing new and innovative ways to direct connect your IBIS POS to our websites. After 3 years of very successful development IBIS surprised us all when they closed their doors on December 31, 2007.
The IBIS customer service department was bought out by Abbott Jewelry Systems (AJS), and they will continue to support the IBIS program through 2008. Psi Prime is happy that AJS has chosen to create a product upload and repair upload routine for The EDGE software so anyone converting to The EDGE can still maintain some type of connection.
Even though this is good news for some of our IBIS customers, many of them are already using the other integrated features like customer notifications via text messaging, layaways, customer profile management, wish lists, etc..
For us, the loss of IBIS represented a loss of more than $100,000.00 in cutting edge jewelry software/Internet development.
After some searching we have found another company that is willing to do the same, or similar development on their side to attach to the integration features we once shared with IBIS. InCom Technical Solutions is the maker of DiamondCounter, a complete software solution for the fine jewelry store. Once the Psi Prime programmers finish modifying the import/export routines, users of DiamondCounter should enjoy the same features once offered to the IBIS program.
Please let us know if you would like more information about The EDGE or DiamondCounter integration process.

Important Side Note for Our Customers: We provide territory protection for any retail jeweler that purchases our Educational Content. If two of our customers are relatively close to each other we will offer different variations of our Education Content to each. We do this in an effort to maintain uniqueness between websites we work on. We also do not allow stores in the same competative market to select the same overall website design. |
