Set
a specific device for the rewind tape drive, otherwise use a default.
Set
a printer to use for reporting. If no printer is set then reporting
is disabled. The printer must be a valid linux printer set up
in the printer spooler, and a valid linux model type must be selected.
Set
of default directories to backup from, restore to.
From
the main screen you can do a quick backup using the default directory
and a quick restore to the default directory.
From
the main screen you can setup a custom backup using up to 5 directories
or filesystems, and you can include up to 4 patterns to filter
by.
Using
the same custom backup features, you can specify for CBackup to
create a backup script instead of actually doing the backup. You
must tell it to create a cron script with the Yes/No option, and
you must specify a script name.
You
can view the contents of a tape to your web browser.
You
can list the contents of a tape to a file for viewing later.
You
can list the contents of a tape to the printer.
When
the cron script runs it will create a report file telling you
the start time, who was still logged in, directories being backed
up and their sized, the standard error messages generated by cpio,
the total blocks used on the tape after the backup, and the stop
time. This report will automatically be printed out.
